Just a few seconds into tonight's Idol Radio Show, Alan, aka the Token White Guy, is accusing Sir Darryl of trying to sabotage the show. Will Darryl admit it? Two celebrities passed away this morning, one of which leads Darryl to admit just how unAmerican he is. Alan then asks Darryl his thoughts about Mike Tyson, his re-rise to fame again in Hollywood, and whether he should have ever been given a chance to have this comeback.
The guys then discuss American Idol, starting with the ratings for Wednesday night's premiere. Does the rise in the 18-49 rating from last year's finale mean anything? Season 1's third-place finisher Nikki McKibbin came back tonight, this time in support of her 15-year-old son, Tristan Langley, who auditioned. Should his mom have allowed him to try out? Alan asks Darryl if Harry Connick, Jr., has "all blacks look alike" syndrome, though Darryl can't answer that question due to a blown circuit. The guys end by talking about the two auditioners who acted like they were the next big things to hit the music scene and whether they were truly offended when the judges all wisely refused to send them to Hollywood.
